Judas Priest Calling it Quits with The Epitaph Tour

Post by awip2062 »

According to the official JP website next year the band will embark on their final tour, aptly named The Epitaph Tour.

I has a sad :-(

Oh well, at least they plan to hit "every major city" and I should be able to get my husband, Eagle and Dove (who have never seen Priest before) to a concert and see them one last time myself. Hopefully they will play at a time Bear can see them again and H will be able to see them once more as well.

Comtemplating catching that tour myself, not sure though, never been too much of a priest fan. Don't mind their stuff, so it might be worth seeing them last chance though.

I saw that, was quite miffed, the only realistic reason he has to do this is health issues, otherwise why not. Albeit they still claim they will record afterward, he is a bit more replaceable at that point.

He needs to man up and deliver the goods.

No, tiz not health related. here is his press release:
K.K. Downing press release

Dear friends,

It is with much regret that I will not be with you this summer. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your concerns about my health. Please rest assured that I am O.K.

There has been an ongoing breakdown in working relationship between myself, elements of the band, and the band's management for some time.

Therefore I have decided to step down rather than to tour with negative sentiments as I feel that this would be a deception to you, our cherished fans.

However I would urge you to please support the Priest as I have no doubt that it will be a show not to be missed.

All my love and respect,
Are you sure they are going to record again? I know there is a new album coming out next year, but I thought this tour was the end of the band being togethet.

I read one article saying 'they still plan on recording' I guess it must just be that album you speak of as there are no specifics. Seeing as I didn't know about the 1 album plan I just assumed.

Update, Myg...they are saying they may do small tours or festivals but nothing large anymore. this will be their final tour as they are used to doing them - worldwide.

US dates are posted. I know what I am doing on 29 October! \m/

May change; I hear not all dates are up yet.

You know...you could pop down to NY or NJ to see them with the H!
