Today would be my only sister's 48th birthday.

Next month will be one year since she was killed on the Interstate.

I pass by that spot every day on my way home from work.

The trees are still bent over, and the marks still remain.

I roll down the window and yell "I love you Sis," but I know you're not
there anymore. It's a brother's love that makes me do that. I should
know better, but I'm your big brother. It's all I know to do.

You left us too soon, but hopefully you're waiting for the rest of us, so we
can be 3 brothers-and-sister once again.

I have your picture here at my desk, your husband, son and
granddaughter to carry on with, and a lifetime of memories to cherish.

Happy Birthday Sis.

All of us love you very much.

Your oldest Brother,

Joey

Why does habanero salt only come in 5 lb bags???

I went on Thoughts and Ponderables.

My sis knows how my Dad and I like spicy things (so did Paddy but he was an extreme maniac on that one...hee) so she sent me a small "deli" container of habanero salt originally for my Dad but his health is a bit poor so things like that need to be taken gently. OMG this stuff is awesome and although it's "salt" I use it on all my fave "healthy" (and not so healthy) recipes.

I got the company and we don't have a Whole Foods here so I went on line and learned a bunch of stuff I didn't need. Like "lavendar" salt and "chipotle" salt and the like. ALL extremely expensive by the same company (Saltworks or Fusion Salt...same) and in nice little containers that belong in Estee Lauder's catalogue of containers to charge MUCH. Like $17 an ounce!!!! Wow. I finally found habanero salt but only in bulk. I paid $44.75 (free shipping and no tax) for a FIVE pound bag!!!! Lordy. But that's the only way I could find it. Someone help me. Need any salt as a gift? I hear it's good luck. :)

Kares......... we don't use salt anymore, otherwise I would help you out. That is insane that it doesn't come in smaller packaging.

You mean you DON'T like to buy salt exclusively in five-pound bags?

You're weird.
Thunder take you!
