One thing about Sharpton and Dean... at least you knew what they stood for. They were the only ones in the race being honest about who they were. Kerry is being very Clintonesque in that he stands on every side of every issue. He's both for and against the war in Iraq. He's both for and against gay marriage. He's both for and against tax cuts. Any liberal democrat who wants to win in a race like this HAS to disguise who they really are. If the truth comes out what they really stand for, they have to lose or drop out. That's what did in Dean. The voters knew who he was... and he was too liberal for them. Sharpton has always been pretty blunt and open about what he believes.

The reason that I don't see Bush being defeated is that the democrats have all campaigned on negative items. They've run on the ideas of a rotten economy, failure in Iraq, etc. Consequently, anything that's good news for the country is bad news for them. Economic recovery is bad for them... the capture of Saddam is bad for them... any good news for the people is bad news for democrats in this race. If they want to win this time around, they're going to actually have to give people positive reasons to vote for them, rather than just yelling about how Bush sucks.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?
