Good job Kris.

I still have a crutch...........(getting nicotine), but 6 months without a puff is a pretty good start.

It ain't easy no matter what.

Thank you. I am on step 3 of the patch and I am supposed to finish after this two week cycle, but I may go one more.

Congrats to Zed and HB!

Nice to have some foldin' money in your pocket now instead of a pack of
smokes or stogies, isn't it?

Rock on. :)

I am in day 5 of no smoking.. I quit last Thursday night.. Decided I needed to lose some weight as well.. so I got back into the gym the day after Thanksgiving. I had been going to the gym pretty regular but was slacking off bad this past summer, I decided to hit it hard, lost 22 pounds since Thanksgiving but the smoking was killing my workouts.. I run on an ellipictal and before I was doing 3 miles in 30 minutes, In just 4 days of no smoking, I did 4.6 miles last night in 30 minutes.. The first mile was a sub 7 minute mile. My workouts are much stronger too.. amazing how them little cancer sticks affect you..

I am using the Nicorette and no cravings so far..

Congrats Soup! You decided to give it another shot. Good deal!

Proof again that you can get up, dust yourself off and get back on the
wagon when you fall off!

Keep it up Soup! You'll be kicked before you know it Bro.

There's a old saying that goes:

"Any person can do without one thing for one day."

Tell yourself that every morning when your head comes up from the pillow.
Don't start none...won't be none.

Good Job Zed..

I am going on a month here in a few days.. off the gum.. I must say I miss it sometimes but the benefits of not smoking outweigh the craving so onward and upward we go.

Define smoke nazi...

I try to avoid smokers partaking in their habit now, but I sure as hell don't lecture them

I don't lecture, but it is surely more gross now that I have a sense of smell again. More gross than it was when I was smoking. It was all about the addiction to nicotine and the tactile function of doing it that had me hooked. Smell and taste was always nasty to me.

Hey, I LOVED my smokes. I just got tired of planning my day around
how many cigarettes I had left. It was like, "Do I have enough in this
pack to get me through the day, or do I have to buy more RIGHT NOW?"

That's a helluva monkey to carry on your back.

I don't miss it ONE BIT. :P

you cant lecture somebody into quitting anyway.. they have to be ready to do it on thier own..

what amazes me is now that I can smell, the amount of people that go to the gym that smoke.
