Soon to be Rush fan

Post by Big Brother »

Why soon to be?

I don't own any of their studio or live albums.

I've only heard their most popular tracks on the local radio station KSJO, and I like what I've heard.

Aerosmitten was going to sent me some Rush cd's, but I got stupid and told her to send me pink floyd insted. Not that I don't enjoy PF.

I still owe Aerosmitten a few Dio albums, so until I get Rush I'm just another accidental tourist in this forum.

I like Permanent Waves 8)
I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

Except that song is about sex. Of course. This is you we are talking about. Myghin means something different, you dirty old lady.

I bought all of my Rush CDs off of ebay, Rush didn't see a penny. Or a farthing, if we're talking Canadian money. If I had the money to pay $18 for each CD then I would, but $50 for 12 seemed even better ;)

I'd buy the albums, if I had the $$$.

Besides, I started of my music collection with Black Sabbath, then it moved on to Dio. Currently I'm working my way to get all of Ozzy's studio albums.....and my Judas Priest is almost complete.

So you might say, "I work my ass off to earn the money to buy the albums to make the record company rich! And here comes along some A$$Hole(Big Brother) who wants to get them for free :x "

"ARGH!"

Eventually i'll get off my sorry ass and buy the original Pink Floyd, as well as Rush cd's. And I recently got a chance to listen to a Rush song I'd never heard before,
Overture, Temple of Syrinx...

I was impressed, I played it all night last night and I cannot wait to hear more Rush besides the few tracks that are played over and over on the radio \m/

"We are the priests, of the temples of Syrinx"

you need the rest of the song

2112: Overture, The Temples of Syrinx, Discovery, Presentation, Oracle; The Dream, Soliloquy, and Grand Finale. it's one gigantimungous song. lasts all told about 22 minutes. sCHWING!

the album 2112 is HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

as is FLY BY NIGHT.
