The details for this years European Rush Convention have now been announced and are available at the Official Site.

This year its at the Limelight Club in Crewe and is on September 9, 2006.

I went to last years event and had a great time.

So, will any other TRFers from this side of the Pond be going...

How about flying? Is it expensive? I heard something about an Irish airline (?) that has gambling. They fly around Europe for super cheap, almost free. The airline hopes you'll spend a ton of money on the gambling thing.

I'll need to check out the travelling cost...I wont be able to get the Irish flight from Scotland I dont think

I haven't posted on By-tor for ages.

I will definitely be going down to Crewe for this.

I will be organising the "Rush Idol" event which is taking place in the afternoon.

We've also got "DONNA HALPER" as our guest speaker for the event this year as well. It's gonna be a blast.

My band "Joe's Band" will be the supporting act this year (which is a first for the event). We play a mix of good old rock songs from the 60's through to the '90s. We mainly concentrate on the big hair '80s rock era though.

Then the main tribute band "Counterparts" will be playing a 2 1/2 hour set which will include lots of songs that other tribute band (and Rush) don't play live.
