According to a posting on the RUSH fan site RushIsABand.com, WhistleStop Productions has put together a five-part documentary series which follows various members of the RUSH road crew during a typical day out on the road with the band. It was shot in high definition and Dolby 5.1 Surround audio during the Canadian leg of the "Snakes & Arrows" tour and is called "Backstage Secrets". It was originally supposed to air this past February on RUSH HD in Canada but was delayed and is now scheduled to air each Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. over the next five weeks starting this Thursday, May 1.

In order to receive RUSH HD, you need to subscribe to Bell Express Vu and sign on for their high-definition package. It's not clear if or when the program will air in the U.S. There were also some rumblings that Anthem was working on putting the series together in some kind of box set for fans to purchase.

The series features RUSH lighting director Howard Ungerleider; sound guys Brad Madix and Brent Carpenter; instrument technicians Lorne Weaton, Bobby Huck, Tony Geranios and Russ Ryan; video guys David Davidian and Bob Larkin; and production manager Craig Blazier.

Do any of our Canadian By-torians have this Bell Express Vu? I've never heard of it myself. If anyone watches this series, is there a chance you could record and post it for us Bell Express Vu-less Rush freaks?

Nah, just wishful thinking.

I'd love to go on a tour with Rush as a roadie. Probably just once, but it would be an awesome experience. You won't catch me up in the rafters, suspended from some wire, though. Creeps me out just looking down from their perspective.

On tour as a roadie... I dunno if I'm up to working that hard anymore. Or at least sleeping that little...

Being Neil's bus driver might not be too bad. Just sleep during set up, sound check, etc., watch the show, drive through the night, dump Neil and Brutus or Michael and their bikes off in the morning, drive to the next venue, sleep until showtime. :-D
