And I thought that was Alex's La Villa "rant" all along! PERFECT! hahaha

Alex said "F--k Off" to somebody in the front row...wonder if someone
heckled him?

Alex also says something not good to Ged toward the end....can't
make it out.

Doesn't matter - It speaks volumes of their stage presence and ability to
overcome adversity. Younger bands could learn much from that.

Well done.
I can give the sequence of events:

1) Battery pack dies during Far Cry
2) Techie scrambles to try and repair it
3) Alex and tech spend about 2 minutes yelling back and forth to each other during start of encore - Alex wanders off stage for a minute.
4) Tech comes out with hardwired cable, takes battery pack out, plugs guitar cable #1 in.
5) Alex starts to play again, STILL no sound.
6) Tech comes out with cable #2, plugs that in- Alex starts to play - VOILA- sound!

Actually, It was not too bad.. brand new venue. its the Pittsburg Penguins new home.. Apparently Rush was the second concert in it.. Lady Gaga was the week prior.. very nice arena

it was a little echoey (sp?) up top.. but the view was not too bad. It would have been a lot better down on the floor but overall not too bad.. I have to say Subdivisions sounded horrible and Marathon was not all that great either.. I read the reviews over on Counterparts about Neil having problems with his bass drum during Subdivisons and apparently he was pissed about it.. other than that a great show. I still prefer the outdoor venue vs indoor.. but an indoor show still beats no show.

Witch Hunt and Camera Eye were awesome and the two new songs really rocked..

LOL...I totally said that to Siggy that you being up so high it would scare the bejeezus out of you - I was 16 rows off the floor all the way back and it was LOUD there...can only imagine what it was like right under the pyro.

yeah.. I thought she had wet herself.. I was laughing and she hit me.. She asked me afterwards if I knew that was coming.. I had no clue.. it was pretty cool.. I guess they needed a song to do that with since they left red sector A at home this time..

We used pyro at out gigs before the Great White disaster. I loved watching the audience hit the roof and crap themselves not knowing the song we opened the set, or closed it with would............. "B O O M" ! ! ! ! !

:-D    :-D

Are you not allowed to use them anymore?

You know.. Rush did have a lot of pyros going off.. and the fire spouts.. especially on Wittch Hunt..you could feel the heat from the flames even from where we sat.. I was thinking to myself in light of what happened with that Great White show how Rush was able to do the pyros..

The flames are propane bursts, and they're easily regulated/controlled.

Pyros are suspect to misfires and other safety issues.
