You have a lot more faith in mankind than I do, then, Tater. I don't think we will ever really have peace. I think man is too selfish, too competative and I don't think that we as a whole will ever give that up enough to have world-wide lasting peace.

Ya know, if we ever ged to the point where we are believing we have achieved world peace, that would be the time to be most skeptical. As t pointed out, there are certain attributes of man that most likely cannot be overcome. If we present the appearance of overcoming them, it is probably just a ruse with a hidden motive.
If we cannot even trust ourselves, how can we possibly trust others, especially with our lives! To him who believes he can trust himself, perhaps he ought to ged to know himself better. Without the intervention of One greater than ourselves, I think we should just find a way to make due.
