So which is it?

I recently read this headline:
FRED THOMPSON: TERRORIST WON'T REST UNTIL MUSHROOM CLOUD OVER U.S. CITY...
So, I post the poll above to see what you guys think.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Okay is this kinda gonna be a waffly answer, but can I say yes to both? lol?

On the one hand, I do believe that the terrorists are not going to stop just because we say please or sit down and have a nice chat with them. I think they would LOVE to nuke a city or a few thousand of ours. As long as there are terrorists this will be true.

On the other hand, I think he said it with a certain goal in mind, a very political one. He could have made the same point a different way, but this way is emotional and dramatic and, quite frankly for many, fear inducing in itself.

Well, I am with t on this one.

But we also should keep in mind that it is a fact that a good portion of the U.S. population has become dumbed down to the level of a video game or action adventure movie. Sometimes hyperbole is needed in order to ged them to see what's going on around them.
