Here's what confuses me. I respect anyone who spends their days, their life researching, gathering the data, crunching the projections, hammering out their forecast. That all seems too disciplined for me, to be honest, but I do enjoy learning the knowledge they have worked so hard to be able to share. The confusing part is when these theories and analyses differ, yet seem to be both logical and probable.
For example, as I blurted earlier, it is happening now.

Some 220 square miles of ice has collapsed in Antarctica and an ice shelf about seven times the size of Manhattan is "hanging by a thread," the British Antarctic Survey said Tuesday, blaming global warming.

Yes, breaking off around the edges. But currently getting thicker (think vertical). This is a natural cycle.Big Blue Owl wrote:Here's what confuses me. But the size of Manhattan? That's normal? And I said earlier that I agree that it's mostly natural. Evolutionary, if you like.
I'm not even sure why I care about this so much, other than the fact that I hate hot weather. I don't even have children or grandchildren, so...as every horrific weather catastrophe seems to be just unavoidable, natural stuff that happens daily, I guess I'm done discussing this topic.
