We have people in the U.S.A. protesting at Veterans' funerals.

It's the ultimate paradox. A soldier dies to protect one's freedoms, and
the thanks they get is as follows:

Dishonor of the lost warrior and the family - during their weakest and
most vulnerable moment - by people protesting and displaying signs with
hate-filled rhetoric - at the funeral, of all places.

Of course, the family did nothing to deserve any of it, but that's the way
the protesters roll. They could care less.

To counter these crass displays of disrespect, we have what's called
The Patriot Guard Riders - A group of Veteran AND peace-loving bikers
dedicated to one thing - Preserving and protecting the respect deserved
of our fallen HEROES.

That's all I have to say on the matter. Y'all have at it.
Don't start none...won't be none.

I've heard of these protests. Mostly by the Westboro Baptist Church from Topeka, Kansas. They say that these deaths are the result of homosexuality in the world. Their website is titled "God Hates Fags".

Reminds me of some lyrics:
Tell me I'm a sinner I got news for you
I spoke to G-d this morning and He don't like you
You telling all the people the original sin
He says He knows you better than you'll ever know Him!

God doesn't hate fags. God hates homosexuality. Unlike humans, He can rightly separate the person from their sin.

Ya know, G-d hates a ton of things. Why don't they protest everyone in the world, because we all do things He hates?

I think the verse he wrote is actually quite accurate. G-d probably likes a whole buncha the "sinners" more than the "righteous" out there. At least, Jesus did 2,000 years ago and they say He never changes.

That is because the sinner is real. The righteous......................not so much.

I will elaborate my thoughts if anyone wants them, .............or not.

Ok. Well, I think you all know I'm not big about religion, so I will start there.

I mean no disrespect to those that are, t can vouch for that. I just don't like the ones that try to ram it down my throat. I have no time or use for them. I have serious faith issues, and talking about things from time to time gives me a different perspective from time to time. Matt and t have helped a bunch on what questions I have had in the past.

Ok..................enough waffles. Here goes.

From this..................

Yes Myg...............SELF has a lot to do with it.

A real sinner is me. Cut and dry. I have done some crap in my life and I can't believe I didn't burst into flames going to the church for H's wedding. I know that is a joke, but still. I don't really feel like I need to go to a church to have belief. I do believe more in evolution because of the proof of it I have held in my hands. Religion doesn't give me that tactile feeling. A sinner is you, all of you, that is what humans do. I have no problem with that. I have the problem with the Organized, hollier than thou types. The phony ones. SELF RIGHTEOUS ones. The ones that whore around, drink, swear, all that and then figure to go to church and all is forgiven and a spot in Heaven there you be. The ones that tell you how horrible you are and do the things I just said. Man that kills me. I think if you want to live your live like a saint, you need to be one for fuggs sake.

The double life is bullshit.

Now to get back to the topic thinger, didn't Jesus hang out with the sinners..........................and did they not try to be better? Yeah, I think so. I don't see them being the ones that will cast the stone while ducking another. I don't know for sure, I have never read it. I just kind of remember what anyone has told me.

I was baptized Catholic back when I was about to go in for major surgery as a toddler. I have never thought of myself as a Catholic, or any other. I know I think there might be some Higher Being/thing/sommat, but I don't know. Everything seems like a cosmic joke to me. Not just with Religion, or the lack thereof.

Is it a test, and if so..............why. I see a cosmic joke.

Ok, someone shed some light for me, let me see where I am with this.

I doubt this will shed light, because I have all I can do just to find the light myself.

But I do know this . . . recognizing that there is sin in this world is evidence of the Spirit of God. Left to our nature, we are not able to recognize sin, but default to carnal desires that refuse to acknowledge we do anything wrong. Being aware of sin is evidence of God just as much as a missing link would be evidence of evolution.

My two cents.
