Fav Alex solo/part....

Post by Xanadu »

I can't ged over the solo in big money no matter how many times I listen to it...when I listen to it it places me into a different realm...I dunno how he did it but its amazing the way he conveys the most awesome design all wrapped up in a euphoric souring melody that is like an acid peak in itself...that's how much I love that damn solo that I just so very much understated :D :D :D :D

What is your fav Alex solo or part and why?

The beginning of the solo in Cygnus X-1 6:39 into the song. The whole solo actually :) But that first part and the interlude after it, ooo!

La Villa and Big Money. Alex looks awesome in the Big Money video doing that solo in his Miami Vice getup. So '80s!

2 words: An-them.

Anthem rocks my world. Alex's most ferocious solo, IMHO.
Wheels within whells, a spiral array
A pattern so grand and complex
Time after time, we loose sight of the way
Our causes can't see their effects

Hey how about the Analogue Kid solo, great 80's style "lightning fingers" solo.

the mid-song solo of Necromancer, when he hits the stereo chorus effect mid-riff and it fills the room with sound for the rest of the solo....AWESOME :headbang:

Xanadu's got some fast, sweet runs in it too... :headbang:

here's a nugget:

the low-volume solo during the "rap" on RIR's Roll the Bones...
If you can keep up with it, it's really tasty as hell....
