Before Alex came on the air the DJ told a little story about how when he was a kid you had to wait outside in line to buy concert tickets (I remember those days). He waited for a long time for a Rush show and scored seats on row 8!!! Then he got himself grounded and wasn't able to go to the show.
The girl on the morning team asked if he had seen Rush live since then. He said, "You KNOW it!"
Remember this is the alternative station that never plays Rush. They just aren't part of the format. But the e-mails with questiond for Alex were just pouring in apparently. It caused some local excitement that he was appearing.
At the end of the interview after Alex hung up all three of the radio folks said, pretty much simultaneously, "What a NICE guy!"
I coulda told them that.
