I will apologise for some of my comments, Fridge, as I was in a bad mood on the day I wrote that post (I can remember it very clearly). The comments about the 'two-headed poster' and you thinking me mentally deficient were me being sarcastic. My wife tells me I have an overdeveloped sense of irony and sarcasm at times and often let it get the better of me.

However, keep disagreeing with me, please. I love a good debate type argument and don't get enough of them.

I'm willing to see others points of view and glad you do to.

No problem mate...
As I have posted earlier, a lot of conversational nuances get lost when having to type conversations.
I will keep posting opinions, though I don't set out to disagree with you. But hey, thats ok. Healthy debate is no bad thing
Ach, if Dougie was here he'd tell you himself....

Stick It Out is one of my favorites from this album. Nobody ever seems to mention this song so I must bring it up...

I like the unusually (for Rush) dark feel to this song...seems designed to make you feel uneasy...like a warning...what it is applying to is vague...so I assume it is about something mysterious

Let's see here.... Counterparts has to be one of my all-time favorite Rush efforts. From songwriting to production it's a masterpiece. Between Sun and Moon is an absolute rush(pun very intended) to listen to. Of course you have Animate, as Xanny mentioned, Stick it Out.... Nobody's Hero, Alien Shore, Double Agent(another instant classic IMO)AND (my favorite instrumental from the boys) Leave That Thing Alone... not a bad tune on the disc.

My favorite song on counterparts is also Nobody's Hero, whenever I hear it , it makes me feel sad. Is anybody with me?
Science, like nature
Must also be tamed
With a view towards it?s preservation
Given the same
State of integrity
It will surely serve us well

Its not so much that I feel sad, more that I feel wistful thinking about my friends that are no longer here. Most of them have been gone for more than 15 years so the sting of the grief has faded somewhat.

Yes...sad that they bothered to record this festering carbuncle of a "song" :(

I love Couterparts. For me, Between Sun and Moon is my fave. I don't understand it, but the chorus just really grooves.

Ahhhh, yes to yes
To yes to ahhhh
Why the Sun?
