I got a CD with a live act from Rush recorded in the Electric Ladyland Studios in 1974.

Probably everyone has heard about that record. If not, tell me. There is a song formerly released by the Beatles, I think, which is called "Bad Boy".

If you wanna listen to:

If you want to get hold of a fair bit of Rush live stuff, try going to WinMX. I've managed to get hold of a few bits and pieces - not all of them complete, but I'm patient

There is a song formerly released by the Beatles, I think, which is called "Bad Boy".
..and before that it was released by Larry Williams.

I think I have two different RUSH versions of this tune.
One version I yanked off a website and another I got from bootleg (Bytor74).

The boot also has Fancy Dancer and Not Fade Away.

Bad Boy is also on a great boot called Juvenile Delinquents which was recorded on the Fly By Night tour.

I have a show which was recorded at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland on 26th August 1974.

This show has been immortalised and was aired on an American radio station prior to Geddy's MFH release. This show has Bad Boy and two Rush songs never released on any albums entitled Fancy Dancer and Garden Road. The latter sounds like a very early version of Anthem and was probably where the idea for Anthem came from.

This show also has an exclusive interview with Donna Halper from the radio station WMMS Cleveland who was the person solely responsible for playing Rush FIRST on American radio.

Here's the full set list from that show.........

Comments
and Reviews:

The Digital Dan:

Another very early concert in the history of Rush. Cleveland and Rush were quite a match in the mid seventies and Rush owes much of their initial success to Cleveland radio stations and their generous airplay. The Agora can be thanked for its practice of taping live shows at the time. This is the complete show, finally. When Geddy Lee released his solo album, WMMS radio in Cleveland re-broadcast the first two Rush shows from the Agora Theater in Cleveland. Newly remastered these shows sound fantastic and this is no exception. Hands down the best sounding early Rush recording. Even if you don't like old Rush, you'll love this show. The energy and raw power comes through with such clarity that you can hear Geddy and Alex using guitar pics! As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this recording is available for free trade. If you paid for the recording, someone ripped you off.

Greg's Notes:

Now for the filler: It is interesting that Rush played a very abbreviated version of The Best I Can for the ABC show!

If anyone would require a copy of this show then please send me a PM with name and address and I'll send you a copy. Cheers.
