I can't believe none of yous has talked about this yet! Its awesome!! Much much much much better than the last DVD!!! The sound is better and the video editing...way better. You can actually experience parts of the lightshow on this one. The archives are cool too...the interviews are a trip.

Your right Xan! my wife and i watch it last night. But I still love RIO
it's a different show and set list, i would agree the sound is better
due to it being filmed in an indoor venue.

uncle out!

Hello ,
I am enjoying R30.I wondered if any of you know the two guys joining in in the `closer to the heart`clip?
They seem to be having a great time, and who can blame them!

The one in the glasses is Bubbles, a character in the Trailer Park Boys.

I watched the concert portion of R30 last night and everything about it is great. The sound, music and lighting is all awesome. However I think age has caught up to Geddy in regards to his voice. The vocals in Spirit of Radio were awful, actually the first five songs or so. His voice in the lower ranges sounds great still, but I think his upper range vocals are shot. I hope they tailor this new album to suit his voice range. I am probably going to get creamed for this post, but the vocals on Spirit and Force Ten were awful. I won't tell you what my six year old said.

I agree about the high range.
Age has caught up to him.
Sadly this means mostly the standards and later stuff
when they tour again. No real oldies.
Plus Alex said on rockline he wanted to move forward.
Oh well.
That's what boots are for. :D

I dunno about the sound quality of the second video in vault 1....can't remember which tune, but it sounds like it was recorded on a little hand-held cassette recorder...yikes...I can see why they never realeased it...hahaha

Other than that, I really enjoyed it....the one interview with by-tor was kinda boring though....the one where he keeps brushing his hair outta the way and it's windy....zzzzz

Hey Soup....

Don't worry about commenting about Geddy losing his range...

When i saw Vapor Trails and they did 2112 two octaves LOWER...I was SO disappointed...That's a dead giveaway his voice is shot...

But, in the interest of fairness, he's been wailing that tune for years, so it's bound to take its toll on anyone...

GO COLTS

Siggy

I was listening to 2112 (the original) on my mp3 player last night and is sad how far down in range his voice has become. You don't realize it until you listen to his old stuff. Sad everyone has to get old. :(

Hey Soup!

Yeah, that was a HUGE buzzkill....2112 was always my fave set when I saw them in years past......Gotta give Lerxt props for playing it in that low register though!

That's not easy....They had to work on that for a while......hey...what's the spread on the Indy game?

I have a diehard Steelers fan working with me and we have Mickey D's breakfast on the bet hahaha

I posted the going ticket prices here where I live on the 'skins/'hawks game on t's 'hawks thread....silly man....just silly
