This is a R-I-R factoid I found.

Courtesy of www.imbd.com

"During the performance of "The Trees", guitarist Alex Lifeson
flubbed the first few notes of the guitar solo.

However, this can only be heard on the Dolby Digital Stereo
2-channel audio track (Audio 1).

For the Dolby 5.1 Surround track (Audio 2), the mistake is
gone and the solo is flawless."

Here's a great, well-made video of 2112. Someone worked very hard to make this work.

Lerxst crispy-fries his power amp during S&A (Helsinki) show

(Those crazy Finnish voltages...)

Ged/Neil carry the load on "Far Cry" and don't miss a stroke:

"2112" Video from S&A Tour

Folks, I love Rush, but this version was disappointing as hell.

I see Ged's got a pretty red bass, but man...All the guitar modulation just
KILLED it. Totally killed it.

All that excess flanging...Are you kidding me?

At least they toned it down on RIR, but the overdose of flanging was totally
ugly-sounding to me.

Where's the POWER? The kick-you-in-the-face bottom?

They left it at home in this performance.

Sorry, but it didn't do much for me, but I still want to share it.

Judge for yourself, but I think they went backwards on this one:

Loved the show, but I was intrigued by Alex looking at Neil during
Red Barchetta (I think) and saying "halfway there" (read his lips) to Prof.

Was it a supportive measure, or did Alex just want to get done and go
home? :?

I'll assume the former.

But you would think after all these years, and studying with F.G, he would use technique and not sooooooo much power. Letting the mics do the work for him.
