It's the best album ever made. At least I think so anyway.

Forgive my ignorance here.....was G using Wals for that album ?
Tell you why I ask.....I was on another Rush chat thingy and they totally slagged off the sound of Wal basses
To me that is sacrilege, no matter how good G is as a bass player.

I'm not sure. I don't pay attention to the brand of gear they use.

I find it important sometimes. Especially when it comes to bass guitars. You go away and listen to a Wal being played with passion and come back and tell me about what you now understand.

I may have already heard it. I've just never thought the brand name of Rush's (or anyone's) gear was all that important unless someone wants to use the same stuff, thinking it'd make them better or something.

I think Geddy had moved on from Wal basses by then.

Probably owns one. Never recorded with it though. In the 80s Carvin got him to try one of their basses and was able to get a quote out of him saying that he was surprised (in a good way) at the quality of the instrument.
Aleks owned a Carvin SH225 guitar and one of their 80s X series amps. He actually did record with the amp during part of the 80s, which I thought was cool.

Is okay. We only care what Alex Lifeson says.
