I just dug out my old set of Sabian B8s, threw them on to my old hihat stand and stuck them out to the right of my ride cymbal, just above the floor tom.

Ever since I started drummnig again and working on jazz...thanks to really hearing Max Roach (RIP)...I have become much more comfortable playing time with my hand out to the right. What a silly goose I was to take so long to figure that out. Besides that, with hihats at different pitches you can create some cool textures with two-handed 16th note grooves.
