Memories
I saw 'Maiden for the first time on the awesome 'World Slavery Tour' way back in '84 with my good friend Nigel. We soon seperated due to the hustle and the bustle of the crowd but this did not spoil my enjoyment of the night at all..especially concerning the end of the gig when various band members threw sweatbands and sticks out to us mere mortals.
Adrian Smith took off his two red sweatbands, threw one way back into the crowd but the other headed towards me...and I only caught the bloody thing didnt !?!!!
Imagine my joy and enthusisam for wanting to share this with Nigel when we met up outside. I saw him and waved the sweatband (with AS's name on) in front of him...and he reached into his pocket...and did the very same thing!!! He was the one who caught the first one! How awesome is that? Amazing moment and one I still remember vividly despite being old now.
I wonder what happened to it?
