Snakes & Arrows Live

Post by Kares4Rush »

Anybody have it yet? I got it the other day and, like all Rush, need to "break into" it a bit before jumping to conclusions.

So far I think the tempo is a bit slower but not unduly so. Ged's vocals could be a tad stronger and his lyric annuciation better in places but I could never REALLY say anything bad about the Boy. :-D 8)

The sound quality is awesome and very, very early faves out of the gate are Mission (with a live twist), Armor and Sword, and The Way The Wind Blows.

More later...

Bueller?

RUSH's new live two-CD set, "Snakes & Arrows Live", sold just under 21,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The band's 18th studio album, "Snakes & Arrows", debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart with sales of 93,000 copies. The disc is the first collection of all-new RUSH material since 2002's "Vapor Trails" and the 27th RUSH release to make the Billboard album chart. The band's chart peak was in 1993, when "Counterparts" debuted at No. 2.

The 2008 leg of the "Snakes & Arrows" tour kicked off on April 11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will conclude July 22 in Atlanta, Georgia.

RUSH will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, airing Wednesday, April 30 at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST. Fans can talk live with RUSH by calling 800-344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you or to listen to the show live via the Internet, go to www.rocklineradio.com.

By the way, By-torians; 18 is better than a ton of very popular bands that have just released an album. For instance, In Flames, Children Of Bodom and many more new, rave-of-the-young-metallers bands have just released new studio albums and their sales pale in comparison.
Rock on, dudes.

heheh, death metal. Children of bodom would be good if they sang, I really like the twinkly guitars.

As for S&A live, top 9% is pretty damn good indeed

Are they human or bots. If they are human, is there a point to posting on a messageboard? What is their angle?

You got me, Bro. They make no sense in their posts. Why it's
allowed and the posts/ISP's/accounts aren't deleted is beyond me.

Is it a free speech issue? That's the only thing I can imagine.

Sorry for the journey into bloviation.

I'm partial to the Rio DVD.

As far as shows go, 12/3/77 at Warner Theater in DC (AFTK Tour) was AWESOME.

If they only had DVD's back then. *shrugs*

The Rio DVD probably remains my favorite. The sound and picture quality aren't as good as some of the later ones. But between that audience and the performance... what a fantastic show!

I also really enjoy the all the Gefilter videos that are in the Time Machine Tour DVD. :-D
