It's our duty as a democracy to spread the virtues of freedom and
promote it whenever possible.
Where does it say that? Why can't we enjoy our way of life while letting everyone else enjoy theirs? Can you imagine how insulting it must be to always hear that the U.S. way of life is the best and all others are flawed until they accept our rules, laws and customs? I think that if all the world was the same it would be a yawning bore. Not to mention not unlike the world that Rand wrote about in Anthem.

BTW, HIYA, CYGS!!! :-)

What do you mean WHERE? It's not written. It's our heritage.

But this is close:

Of course, I'm ALWAYS open to leaving that shithole in the condition it is
now. Iranian personal freedoms are something everyone should behold.

Iran's right up there with China - as far as human rights go.

And WHAT'S UP OWLIE! Rock on wit'chabadself!

Yeah, I think we should let them and others just roll with it. Do it themselves. Monitor them closely and if they are, or plan to be a threat to us, bomb them into the friggin' stone-age. either that or liberate the innocent people of said country from a not-wanted "dick"-tator. sounds old fashioned and harsh, but I think that's the way to go.
It's our heritage.
It's not my heritage. Mine is "Live and Let Live (or die.)"

It shouldn't be so exclusive to be one of us. "F" the melting pot. I prefer a salad. You can still see all of the colors and they can be enjoyed together and separately.

Just when I could take a full breath without hearing something about
Obama for ONE DAY, out jumps this article - and this is not cool:

H/T to John Kinsellagh, Boston Republican Examiner

ABC News Turns Programming Over to
Obama White House

June 16, 10:36 AM

The Drudge Report is leading with a story about ABC News' plan to
air its June 24th evening news broadcast from the Blue Room of the
White House.

Charlie Gibson's news-reading stint will be followed by a primetime
special on the Obama health care plan, with no opposing views presented.

What genius at ABC News came up with this idea?

The program will be a town hall format featuring President Obama.

In the absence of opposing views however, the prime time special will
be nothing more than a cost-free infomercial for the Obama
Administration.

And, consider the locus. Why broadcast from the White House?

Consider the impression this broadcast event will leave with many
viewers:

How do ABC News executives distinguish this cozy
arrangement with the Obama Administration from official
state-run media operations of...say...

Iran and North Korea?

ABC could have at least tried to maintain the facade of impartiality
by simply using its own studios for the broadcast.

But why bother hiding the (by now) obvious fact that the nation's
mainstream media outlets are simply cheerleaders for the Obama
Administration?

As I noted in an earlier post, a compliant and servile mainstream media
has become one of the pillars of the Obama Presidency. Should the
prime-time health care special go forward as planned ? emanating from
the Blue Room ? the indelible perception created, the content of the
broadcast notwithstanding, will be that one of the nation's big three
networks has subjugated itself to the White House.

With its broadcast, ABC News will then signal
ominously that the bastardization of the mainstream
media is complete.
Don't start none...won't be none.

I made a statement here that I would support Barack Obama as long as
he didn't cross the line.

Well, he fired an Inspector General last week with no notice, because the
Inspector (apparently) discovered corruption within Mayor Kevin
Johnson's Sacramento, CA administration.

(Yes, THAT Kevin Johnson, the former NBA star that also happens to be
chummy pals with supreme leader.)

Apparently, Mr. Johnson was abusing funds for personal gain, and the
Inspector was in the process of audits - when he was suddenly FIRED
(with no notice, mind you) by Barack Obama. Obama claims the
Inspector had "lost his faculties."

(Turns out Mayor Johnson made a hasty phone call to supreme leader on
the DL when he discovered the heat was on.)

The Inspector proved otherwise on Glenn Beck last night, by passing a
standardized test given to evaluate mental capacities.

Somebody's lyin' - and it ain't the one that passed the test.

There you have it folks. Obama crossed the line with me. Chicago politics
has finally landed in Barackistan, and corruption is the name of the game.

This totally sucks ass. The ONE GUY in Barackistan that was looking
out for the peoples' money - GOT FIRED FOR DOING HIS JOB.

I think supreme leader f***ed up big this time.

Don't hold your breath waiting for this to appear on your mainstream
media. The mainstream media wagons are circled around supreme
leader and will protect him at all costs.

Fox News broke this story and is running with it.

You haven't heard the last of this.

Reporting from suburban Barackistan,
this is Siggy saying, "watch your back, comrade."

H/T to Van Helsing

Dem Senator Objects to Obama's Contempt
for Rule of Law

Even Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) ? who supported Chairman Zero
from the beginning ? is appalled at his authoritarian contempt for the
rule of law regarding the firing of Gerald Walpin for discovering
Obamunist corruption in the process of doing his job.

She's issued a statement:

"The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying
Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation
for National and Community Service. The legislation which was passed
last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal."

" 'Loss of confidence' is not a sufficient reason. I'm hopeful the White
House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as
possible."

If more Democrats show the courage to put the good of the country
ahead of securing their share of Obama's blitzkrieg power grab, we might
yet be spared an extremely unpleasant future ? and some Dem
politicians might be spared the consequences of the inevitable backlash,
should America survive Hopey Change.
Don't start none...won't be none.

Excuse me Mr. Obama, I mean - President Obama, Sir....

Um . . I know you're busy, and important and stuff. I mean, running the
county is very important and -- uh -- I hate to bother you...

I will only take a minute, okay Sir?

See, I have these missing pieces that are holding me up, and I was
wondering Sir, if you could take time out of your busy schedule, and help
me out. (You know, no big deal, just some loose ends and things.)

Hey, you have a nice place here! The wife sees houses like this on TV all
the time and says: "Boy I wish I had digs like this, you know?"

Is that painting real? Really? Wow. I saw something like that in a
museum once...

Sorry Sir. I didn't mean to get off-topic.

So, if you could just help me out a minute - and give me some details - I
will get right out of your way. I want to close this case - and maybe take
the wife to Coney Island or something.

Ever been to Coney Island, Sir? No?

I didn't think so...

Well, listen...anyway, I can't seem to get some information I need to wrap
this up.

These things seem to either be "Not released" or "Not available."

I'm sure it's just an oversight or glitch or something, so if you could, could
you tell me where these things are? I -- I have them written down here
somewhere -- oh wait....here we go...

Sorry about the smears. It was raining out. I'll just read it to you.

Could you please help me find these things, Sir?

1. Occidental College records -- Not released
2. Columbia College records -- Not released
3. Columbia Thesis paper -- Not "available"
4. Harvard College records -- Not released
5. Selective Service Registration -- Not released
6. Medical records -- Not released
7. Illinois State Senate schedule -- Not "available"
8. Your Illinois State Senate records -- Not "available"
9. Law Practice Client List -- Not released
10. Certified copy of original Birth Certificate -- Not released
11. Embossed & signed paper Certification of Live Birth -- Not released
12. Record of your Baptism -- Not "available"

Oh, and one more thing, Mr. President:

I can't seem to find any articles you published as Editor of the Harvard
Law Review, or as a Professor at the University of Chicago.

Can you explain that to me, Sir?

Oh but, hey -- listen! I know you're busy!

If this is too much for you right now -- I mean -- tell you what:

I'll come back tomorrow. It'll give you some time to get these things
together, you know?

I mean, I know you're busy. I'll just let myself out.

I'll be back tomorrow. And the day after. . .

What's that Mr. President? Who wants to know these things?

We - the people - of the United States of America!

You know, the ones that vote.
