It's DRUM DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Middle Kingdom »

I am out of here (work) at 2pm to make my way to Manchester NH for the drum set tour!

Got fresh batteries in my digital camera, my R30 baseball shirt in the car, Retrospective2 , T4E, and the Nashville R30 boot
in the CD player for the ride up, and I'm ready to go.

Luckilly we have having a Patriots tailgate party pot luck at work so I'm already in jeans and a Pats shirt & hat, so I only have to change shirts.

Don't know if the pics will be ready to post tomorrow, but I'll try to get it done over the weekend.

They show the set at 5 this afternoon? Hmmm. I get out of work at 5:30 so I'll be "pacing" all afternoon.

Gotta kill some time. I'll go out for a falafel for lunch... :P

So I freshen up on the site blackbrimmer.com, and it says I need a free ticket from any Daddy's Junky Music stores.
So i call the one down the street, and ask if they have tickets for "Neil Peart's (pronouncing it P-ear-t) drum set tour"
and the guy says "Who?" :(

I repeat and he says oh, Neil Pert ? :???: 'Where's he performing?'

So I explain and luckilly they still have tickets.

Thank goodness I checked.
That would have both blown and sucked at the same time if I got up there and couldn't get in.
Why is this so nerve racking?

Hey anyone got any questions for Lorne?

Yeah, MK.......................Ask Lorne, how many times he has to change voices for all the different electronic pads, and the midi marimba in a show.

Thanks.....................................WHB

GREAT question!!! I wouldn't have the exact correct "lingo" to voice that but I understand the question and have wondered that exact thing myself.

Smart Hair and GO, MK!! 8)

I had the same problem in a Guitar Center recently. I asked the man behind the counter if he had any Neil Peart signature sticks and he said, "Neil Pert?" *sigh* "No, I countered, Neil Peart." He didn't ged it. You would think a man working at the drum counter in Guitar Center would at least know how to pronounce "Peart."

Hmmm...nothing as good as my brother does. Oh well, just have a blast and tell us all about it when you return.
