Birthday joy
Well, after years of removing from the car all nonsense tapes and more recently CD's, favoured by my boys and replacing them with the history of Rush, I opened my bithday gift from them on Jan 1st (48th birthday)and it was the R30 DVD.
They are finally defeated.
Sadly I have a bad back at the moment and nearly made it much worse when watching the first interview with Geddy in 1979. He refers to heading to England for 2 nights shows - I leaped up and screamed "I was there, New Bingley Hall, Stafford Sept 21 1979". I wanted to head into the loft to get the programme, but the back is not up to it.
What a gift this DVD is, superb quality, no jumping around camera work and we are able to hear everything - fantastic.

Thankyou all for your welcome.
To be fair to my boys, they have always accepted Rush being played loud when I am about and enjoy listening to it, likewise the good lady who has only been to one music concert in her life, Rush obviously Wembley Arena on the Moving Pictures tour. Interestingly, eldest at 15 asked me when picking him and his mates up from football practice if they could listen to something other than Rush. So I played them Hemispheres very loud and drove around and around and around and around until the full album had finished. He has never again questioned my choice of in car entertainment.

Another Yank here wishing you a belated happy birthday.
Moving Pictures was my first concert ever. Loved it, never quit with the Rush since. It would make you drool though to see how my kids are with Rush, although the eldest boy just got into a man named Norm Stockton (studio bassist and clinician who described himself to me as "an ex Geddy clone").
I hope you enjoy your time here. Oh, be careful, Schu bites! *wink*
