Okay, let me give you another hint. The one that died was poisoned. Both drinks are exactly the same. The man that lived drank his fast, the other sipped at it. I could give another hint, but it would spoil it.

so its obviously a poison of absorbtion rather tha by injestions because sipping would cause prolonged exposure to the lips, and the guy lives...
but i'm going to quit now anywho lol i asm not adept in murder and such poisons

Oy, I surrender. The poison was in the ICE used in the drink. The man who drank it fast lived because the ice didn't have a chance to melt and disperse into the liquid. The man that sipped it, well, he got the full hit.
