French fries = chips

potato chips = crisps

jelly = jam

gelatin = jelly

toilet = loo or lav

thanks = ta

galoshes = wellies

umbrella = brolly

yes I'm wrong in pulling you up for that...but even though you become a 'british citizen' you'd still be an American living in Scotland....

how much in american dollars does a house cost where you live and what kind of taxes do people have to pay

a two-lane or 4-lane highway....what you call a parkway....we call it a dual carriageway or a motorway.....there is a difference between the both
