well McLaren seem to have gotten their finger out and the new car is up and running........Kimi said
"My first impression of the car is that it feels good.

"It takes time to develop a car on the track and we still have a busy couple of days ahead of us, but what is important for me is that the development car seems to feel and behave really well so far.?

McLaren chief executive Martin Whitmarsh struck a more cautious note than Raikkonen.
He said: "The car appears to be a step in the right direction but it really is too early to say anything more.?

McLaren will use the existing MP4-19 chassis at Montreal and Indianapolis.

Asked when the new car could be given it?s competitive debut. Whitmarsh said: ?No decision has been taken about the possible race introduction as it all depends on the progress we make in testing.?

They are also in desperate need of a stable engine.

Newey denied that the car, featuring a re-crash tested monocoque and an all-new bodywork kit - including sidepods, engine cover, nose and rear end - is 'new'.

"It's updated," he told reporters. "All the mechanical parts are the same but otherwise it's heavily updated, which involved some changes to the monocoque which had to be re-crash tested."

No mention of getting an engine that can go the race distance without blowing up.
