Jason is so modest about the whole role too.

His mom asked him how he compared to Bonzo in rehearsals,
and he politely told her he "thought it was okay."

He didn't want to hurt his mom's feelings, but the truth is gonna
come out that he will absolutely OWN his dad's role before it's over.

His dad (when not intoxicated) was just as humble- he would give you the shirt off his back (and did once that I know of).

he knows every ride, every crash, every fill, every break....

he's gonna shock the world.

If they come, I will go.

Young people, if you have the chance....

DON'T PASS IT UP.

Unless of course, tickets are a grand apiece.

Screw that. I still have my albums. hahaha

Something I like about what I've seen from the clips thus far is that Jason does a fantastic job of playing his dad's grooves very cleanly and most of his dad's fills, but he's not slavish. He puts his own spin on some of the fills and varies the groove slightly. He's pretty true to his dad's playing, but he's still himself. I really like that. That, musically, is the only honest way to approach the situation. He's a fine drummer in his own right...he should fly.
