2112 on different stages

Does anyone know what year the song 2112 on different stages was taped?Also why has'nt Rush ever done Before and After on any of there live albums?

2112, along with everything else on Different Stages was recorded in 1997. It was towards the end of the Test For Echo tour. As far as Before and After.... you'll probably have to ask our boys on why they've never recorded it. I would have liked to see them do that during a tour.

As far as I know, Before and After hasn't been performed live by the current line up (I presume it was in some form during the Rutsey years). However, if you listen to lthe studio version, the intro alone has at least three different guitar parts which may explain its absence from the stage.

I was there that night 2112 was taped. They also used Leave That Thing Alone from the same show, June 23 1997 at Great Woods in Mansfield MA.
I wish more was used from that show. They were really on that night.
