Long winters kept teams inddors, and they couldn't practice.

Game 7 tonight!

Bruins at Canadiens 7pm.

Boston is 10-6 in game sevens, 0-3 on the road including the infamous 1979 "too many men on the ice" game at Montreal. 10-3 at home.

Montreal is 10-8 in game sevens, 3-5 on the road and 7-3 at home.
Last game 7 in Montreal was in the Forum in 1992 when the Habs beat the Whalers in 2 overtimes to win.

Should be a great game.
Bruins have also never won a series when down 3-1.

Perfect set up for revenge for 2004.
Montreal was the 8th seed down 3-1 to Boston and they won the last 3 games to upset the #1 Bruins.

Boston is the 8th seed and would win the last 3 games to upset the #1 Canadiens.

7pm on Versus.
Casually tune in, and you'll see how intense this game is.
The last 5 have been pressure cookers, and this rivalry
is basically the Red Sox / Yankees of baseball.
It's been a classic so far, and tonight shouldn't disappoint.

And the Broons laid down like the dogs they are.

Good to see some things never change.

Ovechkin scores twice in third to send Caps to Game 7

By DAN GELSTON, AP Sports Writer
8 hours, 2 minutes ago

PHILADELPHIA (AP)?Alex Ovechkin was stifled, shut down and
almost silent in his first NHL playoff series.

The league?s leading scorer played like an MVP right on time in
Game 6.

Ovechkin truly was ?Alexander the Great? with the Washington
Capitals? season on the line and put them in prime position to win
a Game 7 for only the second time in franchise history.

Held without a goal for four straight games, Ovechkin scored twice
in the third period to lift the Capitals to a 4-2 win over the
Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night and send the series back to
Washington for a decisive Game 7.

?The stars, it seems to happen around them, whether it?s John
Elway and ?The Drive? or great baseball players getting the last
at-bat,? said Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau. ?He was getting
frustrated because they did such a good job on him, but he
persevered and came through.?

The Capitals have rallied back from a 3-1 hole and have a chance
to win only the second Game 7 in team history Tuesday night. The
other one should be painfully familiar to the Flyers faithful:

Dale Hunter scored an overtime goal that led Washington past
Philadelphia 20 years ago this month.

GO CAPS! :headbang:
Don't start none...won't be none.

Like game 2 though, the Bruins outplayed the Habs in the 1st.
That lucky 1st goal was the back breaker.
Montreal was at ease after that.
Great series though.

The Flyers won the day before yesterday.
