Late last summer I went to a very memorable concert. Opening was Dio, then Scorpions, then Iron Maiden. Being 40ish (ulp!) and having seen all these bands in their glory days, I was ready for a disappointment (better that way). Much to my delight, all three bands kicked everyones ass just like they did back when. Dio's voice was spot-on! All the patented wizard-hands and devil-signs, very loud and commited. Seems like everyone stuck to the heavier stuff, and limited the "cheese" (sorry). It made for a very inspirational time, and the good vibes lasted weeks.

I am sooooooooooooooo jealous you got to see that. They didn't come near us or H and I would have gone. We read about it and heard some cool stories from Ronnie and the Scorps, but we didn't ged to go.
