An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A ...

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering,
blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

Would like to know who the prankster is that keeps slipping the "Vote For Coakley" banner on my By-Tor homepage.

I would smear myself in honey and roll around on a fireant nest before I vote for her.

The last great act of defiance Bro. It's so over for Coakley.

Hey "Marcia" - Don't forget to TURN OFF THE LIGHTS on your way OUT.

My Aunt called me up last night as the results came in...

Aunt: "Can you believe this is happening? - in Mass of all places!"

Cyg: ''I know! Ain't it cool!"

Aunt: "If there's a bar in Hell, Ted Kennedy's crying in his scotch!"

Cyg: ***pregnant pause***

Massachusetts finally came it its senses- we're tired of having the same crap rammed down our throats over and over- we WANT CHANGE!

I was watching the results like it was the Super Bowl- and I AM SO HAPPY with the results.

Oh, and all the haters out there- keep drinking your Haterade.

What goes around comes around. I hope they put some salt and pepper
in that steamin' bowl of CROW they're eating this morning for
brekkers and they're washing it down with more KOOL AID.

I used to like Olbermann until he started spouting that garbage that I heard on the ride in yesterday? Monday? I heard on the radio from tape what he had said.

Madcow and Olbermann need some Pete's hot sauce for their crow- tyvm.

He called Glenn Beck everything but a white guy. Why the hell he's not
FIRED for it is beyond my comprehension.

Guess it's the liberal double standard, but I could always be wrong.

I'm not a Democrat nor Republican but a proud Independent (make fun of me, ya...I know...I know.. shut UP).

I am so jaded by politicians these days no matter what. But correct me if I'm wrong but I now know as a hopefully objective observer of history that pigs can, in fact fly. I do believe that Obama was handed his ass on a plate in Massachusetts.

I don't feel one way or the other. Just watchin' the piggies and their fairy wings go about.

I'm sorry for the weird post. I popped in as things have been hard here but I knew this an active and enjoyable political forum so I thought I'd put my 2 cents in. I hope that's OK. :) More later?

I think Kares, that that is a position most rational people take (notice how rare rational people are :-D ). It is important to try and pick out the few politicians who you believe will do the best job regardless of their political affiliations.

You're always welcome here Kares! We need to hear from everybody!
I'm a conservative Independent myself, and I agree - O got a HUGE
wake-up call, and it appears they got the message.

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!

I agree with that Myg. One has to vote according to one's concience and
NOT go along with the rest of the "herd."

This ain't just a liberal thing either - Incumbent Republicans had better
be afraid this November too!

What exactly happened in Mass. anyway, I didn't get any coverage up my way.
