When I examine myself and my methods of thought,
I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has
meant more to me than my talent for absorbing
positive knowledge.

A poem about getting older:

(don't worry if you're young - it'll happen to you too.) :P

A row of bottles on my shelf;
Caused me to analyze myself.

One yellow pill I have to pop;
Goes to my heart so it won't stop.
A little white one that I take;
Goes to my hands so they won't shake.

The blue ones that I use a lot;
Tell me I'm happy when I'm not.
The purple pill goes to my brain;
And tells me that I have no pain.

The capsules tell me not to wheeze;
Or cough or choke or even sneeze.
The red ones, smallest of them all;
Go to my blood so I won't fall.

The orange ones, very big and bright;
Prevent my leg cramps in the night.
Such an array of brilliant pills;
Helping to cure all kinds of ills.

But what I'd really like to know.......
Is what tells each one where to go!

Moral:

There's always a lot to be thankful for....
if you take time to look for it.

For example:

I am sitting here - thinking how nice it is
that wrinkles don't hurt.
Don't start none...won't be none.

Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has
been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing
to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall.

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from
Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying
the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer.

He has been stripped of his judgeship, and now they are trying
to strip his right to practice law in Alabama!

The judge's poem sums it up quite well:

America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by crack cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray

We've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before it leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.

~~Judge Roy Moore~~
Don't start none...won't be none.

I'll show you hell :x :razz:

Soaring kite trailing words
falling here, there, everywhere
once we sigh upon delight
we take up arms for a fight

like children in a school
mysteries that are told
which are not all true
in the face old would know

presence of love and fear
we all wish to hear as peril's near
it's ours to soar and mine to see
were coming down again ...

... you just wait and see! :x

:razz:

I'M BACK! :twisted:

I am just messing around, haven't wrote a poem in months and losing my touch ,took me nearly 2 hours to come up with that garbage. :shock: Perhaps with another 2 hours I could make something of it? I guess I still got an ego for attention, eh?

MONEY
Termite army's gnawing ripen money as hole ridden as there abode with fear thicken it falls as we know the wind. Politicians game of barbaians and clowns imposing lyrics of their own song of solution thur the door of change. Timelessness seeds crawling back into the ground reaching for the sun to brown and wither passing on through with flight strong and scars throb no one gets by the tides of time, just a warly race of riches we all chase.

A present from Me

good morning I added, corrected and deleted a few words sounds much better now and perhaps makes more sense.

OK I took out the word of (people skip past those small words anyway) and added a period. Then I took out to and put thru the door of change. It's all in fun but I find it interesting about myself how I process the words thru the blender of my mind. Think it's done for now LOL

When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men & women stand as a vanguard against abuse.

I don't recall the original, so I am not sure if it helps or not. Sorry.

It was raining all day so I took a break from hard labor and wrote

"DRUDGERY"

Fleeting logic cause effects imagined adopt anicient riddles of nights sky owls hoot rabbits scream the coffee tables hiding place tight afraid claiming innocence smuggling words from mother collecting lifes conflicts and gifts dirt turns sprouts growth around the turn to the end, tire, enough to justify life deep expansive the music remains, evaluate, stop, love, live effects of smuggling words from mother.

Ok' who said the first step to enlightment is disillusionment?

This is something Scoot wrote today.
She said it is a song, but we thought we'd put it here.

IN LOVE WITH YOU

By.SHAYLA. M. LAFFOON

This is really true
That I?m in love
With you

If you don?t believe
Then I have to leave

If you do believe
Then I don?t have
To leave

Because when you
Believe me I
Believe you
Can do anything
You want to do
Every single
Day with you
Is a special
DAY
