These were banned here in the 70's.

They were made of GLASS and they would shatter.

(We would take them to school and they were SO ANNOYING - it was
a guaranteed trip to the Principal's office....Good times...) :P
Another one my mother would not let me have. She heard of a shattering incident and that was the end of that.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

LMAO....my son had one, and whenever he would put the pointer at the pig, I would wait for the toy to start talking

"The pig says..." and I would interject "pull the car over!!!"

See n Speak....ah how many times did I get thrown out of Caldor's for using it to spell "Eff-You-Cee-Kay"....

My neurologist got me those, G-d rest her soul, and my mom didn't mind. She hadn't worked ER for a number of years by then so she didn't see the trouble they might cause shattering. Mom'd play with them, too.

*plays Randy Newman's Short People*

Back on topic, one of my high school friends had a wrist rocket- we'd skeet shoot CD's with Dungeons and Dragons dice...it made a nice mess.

Something else I really loved back in the elementary school days... my Duncan Yo-yo's.
First a Butterfly, then a nice blue Imperial (which I still own).

I used to play that all the time.

Oh yeah Cyg, the short reference is a military term. Soldiers chuck a tied together pair of boots over a powerline to tell other soldiers he's about out.
