I had Ninja Turtles! Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello and Raphael ROTFL...me and my brother had them and the others...even had the Metradome. 
We really got into the whole ninja thing. That was the shit back then. We even had our own weapons we used to fight with in the back yard with the other kids in the neighborhood.

Oh yeah Cyg, the short reference is a military term. Soldiers chuck a tied together pair of boots over a powerline to tell other soldiers he's about out.
