Snakes and Arrows Tour Starts TODAY!
in about 7 hours I will be watching the greatest band in the world for the first time. Your thoughts?

My thoughts:
Can I leave work, catch a plane to Atl,
find tickets, enjoy the show, fly home,
and not have Mrs K find out?
My other thoughts:
Enjoy the show!
If you post anything that reveals stuff, use
**SPOILERS** in the title
so I don't look at it.
I'm holding off knowing anything til
I go to Virginia Beach.
Thanks.

Don't be disappointed when Ged doesn't hit the high notes like he used to.ThePriestOfSyrinx wrote:in about 7 hours I will be watching the greatest band in the world for the first time. Your thoughts?
He still kicks.....just not as high.

Enjoy the show. I sure would if I were going.

Ok just came back form my first Rush concert. My eardrums are shot and I love it!
I came 30mins late
but here's what I can remember.
*Spoilers*
From what others were telling me, they opened with Limelight.
Then they played a lot of their new stuff, things from Vapor Trails, and Hold Your Fire. When i got there Geddy was all "Let's go back in time! This is from Hemispheres!" then they played Circumstances. After that they played Between the Wheels. Then they took about a 30min intermission. While they played Dark Side of the Moon on the speakers. When they came back it was dark out but the lights lit up the sky. They started out with Far Cry.
Here are the rest of the songs I remember them playing:
Armor and Sword
The Way the Wind Blows
Main Monkey Business
Workin' them angles
Malignant Narcissism
A 20min drum solo last 5min are Neil playing to a recording of Jazz/Swing
Spindrift
Natural Science
Subdivisions
A cover of The Who's Summer Time Blues
Dreamline
In the Mood
Then there was a short where Lil Rush (kids from South Park) and they were playing Tom Sayer with funny lyrics. Then Rush came out and played the real Tom Sayer, Said thank you, and everyone left the stage...
Then they came back for an encore!
then they played:
YYZ *with new solo interpretation
A Passage to Bangkok
Spirit of Raidio
and 2 more I can't remember.
*Spoilers END*
That was the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed. Oh and I wasn't disappointed at Geddy's voice not going super high.... because it WAS super high!
i recorded some of the footage on my phone that i will upload later for those who want to see it. For now I'm gonna keep rocking out to rush!

Glad you enjoyed the show. When I saw Vapor Trails, he practically had to grab his nuts to nail the high notes.ThePriestOfSyrinx wrote:Oh and I wasn't disappointed at Geddy's voice not going super high.... because it WAS super high!
But to be fair, the show I saw would be rough on anybody.
A NASTY thunderstorm came in stage left on Alex, and blew rain across
the WHOLE stage. They didn't miss a single note though.
Hell, Ged even apologized - for thinking that THEY brought the rain
in with THEM.
He's too cool.

I moved this topic here to the tour forum so those that don't want to know anything won't accidentally get reading.
Carry on with the gushing, Priest!
*can't wait til July 8*
